Do I Need To Purchase a Fishing License?
No, the fishing license is included with all fishing charters. You do not need to purchase a separate fishing license.
How Many People Can I Bring?
A maximum of six guests are allowed per trip.
Can We Keep The Fish We Catch?
Yes, you can keep any legal fish that you catch (except for sharks - sharks are catch and release only.) The Captain will clean and bag your fish for you to take home.
How Do Payments And Tips Work?
All trips must be paid for with a credit or debit card, but tips can be paid with cash.
A 50% deposit is required when booking your trip online or over the phone. Once booked, you'll receive a confirmation email with a link to pay your remaining balance online anytime before your trip. You can also use that link to pre-pay a tip, or simply tip your Captain in-person with cash (10%-20% gratuity is customary).
Is There A Bathroom On The Boat?
Yes, our vessels have either a full bathroom or a console head.
Is The Fishing Vessel State Or Federally Permitted?
Our 32' Vessel, which we highly recommend booking, is Federally Permitted. This allows you to fish in both State and Federal waters. (Our 24' Vessel is State Permitted only.)
Where Is The Boat Located (Pick-up/Drop off Location)?
All Flowing Water charters launch from the Heron Harbor (314 Harbor Blvd, Destin FL 32541).
What Time Should We Arrive?
We typically recommend arriving at the Heron Harbor 20 minutes early to get parking situated and to walk down to the dock. Please keep in mind, you will not be able to board until 10 minutes before your start time (e.g. for a 9am trip, you will not be able to board before 8:50am.)
Where Do We Park?
Option 1 - Paid parking right at the Heron Harbor (See the signs in the parking lot for information on how to pay via the mobile app.)
Option 2 - Paid parking near the Emerald Grande (You would just walk 10 minutes East down the HarborWalk Village until you've reached us at the Heron Harbor!)
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY?
- Full refund if you choose to cancel 72 hours before scheduled charter*
- No refund if you choose to cancel less than 72 hours before scheduled charter
- Full refund if the Captain cancels before your scheduled charter due to unsafe water or weather conditions*
- For the safety of our captain and crew, customers who are verbally/physically aggressive and/or unreasonably rude upon arrival, or at any time during the trip, will immediately have their trip canceled with no refund.
*2-4% card processing fee will not be refunded. This fee is already included in the price you pay.

In special circumstances, a partial refund (not including the initial deposit) may be refunded.
What If I Need To Reschedule?
Similar to the cancellation policy, you have up to 72hrs before the start of your charter to request a reschedule. You can do so by emailing or calling us.
WHAT IF THERE ARE ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS?
Our charters go out rain or shine. However, if the Captain deems it unsafe to go out (i.e. high waves, high winds, thunderstorm, lightning, etc) we’ll give you full credit to use on a future trip, or you can choose a full refund*. Otherwise, the standard cancellation & refund policies will be in place.
*2-4% card convenience fee will not be refunded. This fee is already included in the price you pay.
What Is The Card Convenience/Processing Fee?
This is the 2-4% fee already included in the cost of your charter. This is the convenience fee to make a payment with your credit or debit card. Since this convenience fee is paid directly to a third party processor, and not to Flowing Water Charters, it is non-refundable.
